As the DGS Mini Bazaar, held on 20th December, resumes its full scale for the first time this year since the pandemic, we will also embark upon a visionary journey by embracing the realm of metaverse technology. The Virtual Mini Bazaar features an online version of the Mini Bazaar, a 3D game-like experience, where users can browse through virtual sales stalls with a customizable avatar for exclusive Mini Bazaar products, customizable T-shirts and exclusive fabric items.
The DGS Metaverse provides a learning experience for students to explore the implementation of a digital economy and develop their interest in Fintech and related technologies. All net proceeds derived from this exercise will be donated to the DGS Education Foundation, earmarked for the setting up of a Technology Education & Development Fund. All students, parents and alumnae are free to participate and enjoy the DGS Metaverse experience.

mode of operation
- Each student in DGS and DGJS will be given an account to log in to the platform. Login information and the user guide will be distributed on or before 25 November via students’ school Gmail.
- The platform will be open for purchase in two phases:
- Phase I: 26 Nov 2pm
- Phase II: 4 Dec 2pm
- Parents and students can preview the DGS Metaverse from 2:00 p.m. on 25 November, but can only make purchases from 2:00 p.m. on 26 November.
- Each account is allowed to purchase a maximum of three items per day. If you have already purchased three items on that day, you may wait until 2:00 p.m. the next day to make another purchase.
mode of operation
- After successfully purchasing products on the platform, you will receive a confirmation email along with an order number. Please be reminded that you must collect your purchases in the library of DGS on 20th December, the day of the Mini Bazaar.
- Payment will be done solely within the platform using FPS only.
- After the purchase confirmation and completion of payment, please submit your FPS payment receipt using the Google Form https://bit.ly/dgsmeta.
- Failure to submit the Google Form will render the transaction unsuccessful. You will receive a refund of your payment but will not be able to receive the products on 20th December.
